This week was marked by two important events: the meeting of the “International Justice Network” coordinated by the Delegation for European and International Affairs of the Ministry of Justice, and Expertise France’s Justice Operational Consultative Committee (OCC).

On this occasion, Expertise France takes a look at its involvement in the justice sector.

The operator “Justice Coopération Internationale (JCI)” joined Expertise France on 1 January 2021. The agency thereby became the operator for the French judicial and legal ecosystem. This integration has enabled Expertise France to increase its operations in this field.

Expertise France mobilises the expertise from the French justice sector for projects related to fundamental rights and access to justice, independence and the quality of justice, as well as protection and security mechanisms. The agency has also gained an understanding of new thematic areas, such as justice in times of war and environmental justice.

The meeting of the International Justice Network, during which the partnership agreement between Expertise France and the ministry was renewed, and the Justice OCC both provided an opportunity to review the projects under implementation and development prospects in the field of justice.
