Expertise France in Ukraine

Since 2006, Expertise France, a subsidiary of AFD Group, has supported reforms in Ukraine, with a particular focus on the justice, health, and governance sectors. Starting in 2023, France increased the mobilization of its expertise, opening a new chapter in technical cooperation between the countries in the context of Russia's full-scale invasion. The following year marked the official opening of the Expertise France Country Directorate in Ukraine.

In 2025, Expertise France is implementing 18 national and regional projects in the country with a total funding of approximately €62 million. The agency has become a key provider of French expertise, supporting Ukraine as it responds to war challenges, embarks on reconstruction, and prepares for EU accession.
