This project aims to support young Libyan entrepreneurs working in the social and solidarity economy, by organising bootcamps (training workshops) throughout the country.
Building the social entrepreneurship capacities and skills of young Libyans
This 8 to 12-month training programme aims to strengthen the entrepreneurship and creative thinking of young people to ensure they mainly focus on the development of projects with a strong societal impact and/or which economically empower their community. The young people will work on resolving social, cultural and environmental issues in their community.
Developing companies to change society
During the bootcamps, the entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to work with experts in order to develop a wide range of skills and improve their individual projects. They will also work on their network and their capacity to promote their ideas among potential investors.
At the end of the bootcamp, the best entrepreneurial projects will be selected and they will be offered financing opportunities.
What is Expertise France’s role?
Expertise France will implement two interdependent activities: technical training and a grant programme.
These two activities will promote social cohesion and economic empowerment via the implementation of ideas for innovative projects. The beneficiaries of grants will attempt to resolve a social, cultural or environmental problem in their communities.
Towards a national conference for the private sector
Following the training, the 30 entrepreneurs selected will have the opportunity of attending a conference which will cover all the regions in Libya, where they will discuss with key private sector players from the business world or banking sector.
