The Village of Solutions for Nutrition was installed from 26 to 28 March in the 15th district of Paris, alongside the Nutrition for Growth Summit 2025. This unique space gathered experts, innovators, and engaged citizens to explore and share concrete solutions for addressing the challenges of global nutrition. The event was free and open to all, subject to reservation, and gave rise to three days of exchanges of inspiring discoveries.
The Village of Solutions for Nutrition was part of the Nutrition for Growth (N4G) Summit 2025, a major international event organised every four years by the host country of the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Initiated by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs and the European Commission, this pop-up village aimed to mobilise all the actors in the sector of nutrition and sustainable food systems. It was organised by Expertise France.
There were two objectives: firstly, raise awareness among the general public of the crucial issues of nutrition around the world and, secondly, provide a platform to showcase the most innovative solutions, in particular the solutions brought by civil society. By gathering experts, policy makers, as well as representatives from the private sector and civil society, the Village of Solutions aimed to catalyse collaborations and accelerate the implementation of concrete action to combat malnutrition in all its forms.
Six major themes addressed to provide a comprehensive overview of nutrition issues
The Village of Solutions for Nutrition highlighted six major aspects, reflecting the complexity of the challenges related to nutrition and the interlinkages between them:
- Nutrition, health and social protection
- Nutrition and gender equality
- Nutrition, climate and transition to sustainable food systems
- Nutrition and crisis resilience
- Nutrition, research, data, artificial intelligence and innovation
- Nutrition, financing and accountability
Throughout the Summit, the Village of Solutions for Nutrition provided a meeting point for a wide range of participants, from the general public to experts in this field. Institutions, regional and local authorities, and civil society organisations had the opportunity to discuss issues on the main stage and in the Forum area, including:
