Results & Outlook 2018-2019: Expertise France's latest annual report is available
"In 2018, Expertise France continued its development, with a growth in our activity of close to 30%. The agency’s operations continue to be fully in line with the priorities of France’s international cooperation and development policy, as shown by the programmes highlighted in this report.
In four years of existence, Expertise France’s position in the French technical cooperation mechanism has also been strengthened. Framework agreements have been signed with French ministries, including the ministries of Justice, the Interior and Agriculture, and in February 2018, the Government decided to integrate our agency into AFD Group.
While maintaining the legal personality of Expertise France and its public service mandate, this integration will allow AFD Group to offer our partners a full range of financial, operational and capacity building solutions and expertise services to meet their expectations and address the global challenges that concern us all.
On the European stage, we have just completed our presidency of the Practitioners’ Network. During our term, we made the theme of “working better together” central to our action to promote the implementation of the 2030 Agenda via improved coordination and greater consistency. This presidency ended on a high note with the signing of a new partnership agreement between Member State agencies and the European Commission. We have just turned over the reins to Spain’s AECID.
However, the year ahead of us is crucial for the consolidation of our agency. We need to continue our internal structuring, negotiate a new objectives and means contract for 2020-2022 with the State, while preparing our integration into AFD Group.
Faced with these challenges, I am extremely honoured to head this agency and all its employees, who show an unfailing commitment and work every day for the benefit of France and Europe’s external policy for development cooperation, influence and economic diplomacy."
