This process aims to fill a roster to obtain the specified consultancy services on-call. The candidates are professional specialists who can be based in or have spent extended periods in the field/developing countries.

General direction on the tasks and area of responsibility is provided by the designated contact person in Expertise France according to the Terms of Reference of the specific project the candidate is contacted for. During this interview, he/she will be informed on the translation of this guidance into the specific activities required to perform assigned duties on the specific project, as well as on any administrative issue to be discussed.

Qualifications et compétences

  • Education of at least Master Degree Academic level in law, political science, social sciences or any other disciplines relevant to the assignment, or equivalent professional experience;
  • Excellent general knowledge and understanding of migration policies, trends, major issues;
  • Sub-sectors of interest: migration and development, diaspora mobilization, migrant remittances, return and reintegration, migration policies, integration of migration into sectoral and local policies, asylum policies, international migration law, integration of migrants (social, professional, etc.), legal migration, labour migration, irregular migration, protection and assistance to migrants, refugees and asylum seekers, human trafficking and migrants smuggling, information to migrants, protection of vulnerable migrants (ex : UAMs), , environment and climate change, knowledge of migration flows, migration flows management, mixed migration flows immigration and border management, migration and health, community stabilization;
  • Excellent report writing skills;
  • Excellent organisational, communication, interpersonal and cultural sensitivity skills;
  • IT literacy (Minimum: MS Office);
  • Capacity to adopt multidisciplinary and cross-sector approaches in order to engage a variety of state and non-state actors.

Expérience professionnelle

  • At least 8 years of working experience in one or more of the topics listed above;
  • Proven experience of working in a multi-cultural environment;
  • Proven experience of working in the field/developing countries;

The process of selection of expressions of interest will occur in two phases:

  • As a first step, a shortlist will be freely established by Expertise France.  
  • Only selected candidates may then be invited for an interview.
