Within the framework of a tripartite agreement between Expertise France, MEDDE and the Tetraktys association, 4 technicians from the Gadime cave in Kosovo visited the Rhône-Alpes region from the 13th to the 18th of April 2015. These technicians met with professionals of French underground tourism industry and benefited from training delivered by Tetraktys.
The Gadime cave, located 20 km South of Pristina, is managed by KEPA (the Kosovo Environmental Protection Agency). In 2014, MEDDE and Expertise France, with co-funding from the French Embassy, and the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning of the Republic of Kosovo, provided their support to the upgrading works of the Gadime cave, with a view to reopening it to the public in order to improve the biodiversity conservation conditions.
