A delegation from Côte d’Ivoire, headed by the Minister of State Mr Moussa Dosso, was received on Friday, the 17th of April, by Mr Sébastien Mosneron Dupin, Expertise France Chief Executive Officer.
Discussions focused especially on disability policy in Côte d’Ivoire. A legal change is currently underway regarding the obligation by public administrations to respect employment quotas for people with disabilities. This provision could be extended to the private sector. A transfer of experience from French companies to their Ivorian counterparts would lead to an evolution of disability perception in the country.
According to Mr Frédéric Sansier, Director of the Social Protection and Employment department, a global public/private offer could be implemented by Expertise France. Expertise France does indeed benefit from a robust experience in this area: the agency participated in the reform of the disability policy in Azerbaijan and in Ukraine in the framework of major technical assistance projects.
