A training of trainers session delivered by thewas held in Yaoundé from the 5th of May to the 8th of May 2015, within the framework of an agreement signed between Expertise France and Cameroon's Ministry of Finance. This was the first step in the Higher Institute of Public Finance’s support programme, and the first step in the Higher Education Programme in Public Finance.
The aim of the training was to prepare Cameroonian trainers to design job modules. For four days, thetrainers presented international standards of vocational training, which covered: the needs definition (which translates into the expression of a training goal), a standardised formalisation of modules, the use of active teaching method, and training assessment. The numerous "situation simulations" ensured training efficiency.
The agreement, concluded for a two-year period (2015-2016, with French-Cameroonian co-funding) also provides for the drafting of a module, via a participative methodology associating a French expert and Cameroonian trainers, for each of the three topics: public accounting, budget, and local governments.
