Expertise France at the 8th Convergences World Forum

The 8th Convergences World Forum was held at Paris from the 7th to the 9th of September on the theme "Zero exclusion, zero carbon, zero poverty". Expertise France took part in the professional exhibition and presented its areas of expertise and projects implemented in the field of sustainable development.

Each year, the Convergences professional exhibition allows exhibitors from the public sector, the private sector and the solidarity-based sector to valorise their projects to the 7,000 visitors and the 300 participants to the Forum. Expertise France generated considerable interest from participants and Annick Girardin, Ministry of State for Development and French-Speaking Communities, honoured us with her presence on Expertise France's stand.

The highlight of the 2015 edition was the speech given by François Hollande (in French). The President reminded everyone of the ultimate goal "Zero carbon, zero poverty".

"I wanted France to tackle issues on both fronts, to focus on sustainable development goals, and on the fight against climate change", declared François Hollande, reminding all of the major events ahead of us: the adoption in New York, at the end of September, of the 2015-2030 Sustainable Development Goals, and of the Climate Conference (COP21), to be hosted by France in December.
